Pino at Ravenswood ArtWalk

Janet Austin and Emily Moorhead-Wallace will host a pollinator nest building workshop for their sculpture Pino: a Tree Habitat. Workshop runs Sunday, September 11th from 11am to 1pm. Come build pollinator nests for the new Greater Ravenswood pollinator habitat sculpture, Pino. Drop in for half an hour or more to help assemble nesting materials. Components will be included in the sculpture. Workshop will be led by artists Janet Austin and Emily Moorhead-Wallace. Workshop is free and open to all ages.

E(art)H Chicago: Selects 11 climate & environmental justice public art projectsNearly $550,000 in Grants Awarded to Raise Awareness, Create Dialogue & Inspire Action Emily Moorhead-Wallace and J Taylor Wallace are awarded $44,750 to create the Pollinator Solar Column project which consists of three seven-foot steel and reclaimed wood structures at Sherman Park in Back of the Yards. This community-sourced public artwork will function as a habitat and resource for insects and animals.
